The main focus around the development of the Glider Tracker Rollers was on the “traction and grip” between the conveyor belt and the tracker roller. The friction between the conveyor belt and the tracker roller creates a “polishing and grinding” effect that ultimately leads to a smooth and slippery rubber surface on any tracker roller. This is also noted and prevalent on all rubber covered pulleys.
