Breaker Fabric is available in skimmed, off balance and 200 Lbs. Steel Cord belt models.
Almex Off Balance Breaker Fabric is a Leno Weave RFL treated fabric skimmed with uncured rubber for hot vulcanized belt splicing reinforcement. It is designed for fast build up of finger splices and step splicing of standard grade fabric belts. Features one layer of .040 tie gum already applied (Red Poly side).

When applying the rubber skimmed breaker fabric, the splice material rubber surface should be first lightly cleaned with solvent and then rolled into place. If solvent doesn’t produce the tack desired on the rubber surface, one coat of HC1 cement could be applied to the rubber. After positioned and rolled into place, remove any plastic film that has been left on the outside of the material. Stitch areas that may need further compression making sure to remove any trapped air pockets. Be sure to review and follow the directions in the appropriate splice manual and SDS.
