The Almex Cable Stripper Machine, in conjunction with only Almex Cable Stripper Blades, has been engineered to cable diameter, pitch and cover thicknesses to strip away both covers from around conveyor belt steel cables, either on-site or in a belt shop. The Cable Stripper works as it is pulled with the Almex Winch operated in a safe splice environment. The machine while being pulled is designed to strip cables quickly without turning the belt and is easy to handle with two people, saving you time over the manual stripping. Using Almex Cable stripper blades technicians can determine how much rubber is needed to be removed from the diameter of the cable size, so that steel cables be cleaned or stay surrounded in a thin rubber layer depending on the belt manufacture splice recommendations so that the core rubber adheres in the splice.
There are three sized blade holders for various cable sizes, and range from small, medium and large blade holders which corresponds to the range of cable diameters, pitch and cover thickness. The upper blade strips the trailing steel cord while the bottom blade strips the leading cable, which is why the pitch information between cables is important. Move the cable stripper to the right one steel cable at a time, so that all cables are stripped. When ordering the Cable Stripper Machine kit, provide belt steel cable diameter and belt specifications (cover top, bottom, and overall thickness) as well as how many replacement blades sets [packs of 5, 10, 20, 50] Almex Cable Stripper Machine is designed to work with Almex Cable Stripper Blades. Aftermarket blades are not universal and not to be used because they are not controlled for fitting this machine or may cause damage to the cables.
